boeq
Coming 2026 · macOS + iOS

Your books don't belong in someone else's database.

Your KvK number, btw-id, IBAN and client data live in an encrypted database on your own device. No account, no sync, no server. The safest data is the data nobody else has.

Encrypted on your device

SQLCipher encryption with a key that is generated on your device and stays in the Keychain — never synced, never anywhere else.

No network in v1

boeq makes not a single network request. On the train, at the beach, broken wifi or a vendor outage — your books simply open.

Face ID & panic lock

Your books behind Face ID or your passcode, with an idle timer and a shortcut (Cmd-L) that locks the screen instantly.

What happens to your data

  1. A key on your device

When you create your administration, boeq generates an encryption key on the device itself. It never leaves your Keychain.

  2. One encrypted database per company

Everything you book — transactions, invoices, receipts — lives in one SQLCipher file per company. Self-contained and complete.

  3. Backups that stay yours

An encrypted backup with checksum verification, only when you press the button. Keep it wherever you like — on your own iCloud Drive if you want. Restoring verifies first, then swaps. Create a backup → Restore a backup →

Offline isn't a mode — it's the design

Cloud bookkeeping tools build an offline mode as a fallback. boeq works offline because it always was offline: there is no server to sync with and no account to sign in to. The only thing that ever leaves your device is a backup you start yourself — encrypted, to a place you choose.
