Switching

Moving your books over is one evening, once.

Export what you have, import it into boeq once, then cancel the subscription at the end of the period you already paid for. Closed years stay readable in boeq — no login, permanently.

Three steps, one evening.

Export

Invoices as PDF plus a CSV list, bank history as CAMT.053 or MT940, contacts as CSV.

Import

One import per year and per bank account. boeq numbers your next invoice on from where you left off.

Cancel

Close the old account after your last filed quarter, not before. Keep the exports either way.

Tool by tool.

What comes over cleanly, and what you'll want to leave behind.

Moneybird

Export your invoices and the general ledger as CSV, and download your bank history as MT940 per account. Contacts come out as CSV.

Does not come over: the bank link itself, automatic reminders, and anything a colleague did in a shared account.

Tellow

Export the invoice list and the receipt archive, then pull the bank file from your bank rather than from Tellow — it's cleaner.

Does not come over: scanned receipts attached to individual transactions. You can re-attach the ones you still need.

e-Boekhouden

Export the transactions per financial year and the invoice list. The chart of accounts doesn't need to come over — boeq's categories are pre-set for an eenmanszaak.

Does not come over: a custom chart of accounts. If you genuinely need yours, that's custom work.

SnelStart

Export your bookkeeping records per year. Your bank history is better fetched straight from the bank, since inKaart charges per external transaction anyway.

Does not come over: inventory and any module beyond bookkeeping. boeq doesn't do stock.

Excel or Numbers

The bank files you already downloaded are the import. Your spreadsheet stays as the archive of the years before you switched.

Does not come over: formulas, obviously. That's the point of switching.

When not to switch yet.

Mid-quarter

File the current quarter where your data already is, then switch on the first day of the next one.

If you have staff

boeq has no payroll and won't get one. Stay where you are.

If your bookkeeper works in your account

There's no multi-user access in boeq. Exporting the year to them works; logging in alongside you doesn't.
